The difficulty with Beast is that he is two characters in one body, and the sculpt has to hold both at once without picking a side.
All that bulk wants to read as a brute. The proportions have to stay heavy while the head stays articulate, and those two instincts pull in opposite directions the whole way through.
Fur at this scale is a lighting problem more than a sculpting one, which is most of why this set has as many passes in it as it does.
