Gambit

Mostly attitude, which is hard to sculpt.

All sculpture

Coat, staff, posture. Nothing about this character is structural, it is all carriage, and carriage takes more passes than anatomy does.

The problem

You cannot sculpt swagger directly. It shows up in the weight distribution, in how far the coat trails, in where the staff is planted. All indirect, all easy to overdo.

Why there are so many turns

Because it kept being nearly right. That is usually the sign a piece is worth another pass.
