My love letter to the Alan Moore era.
This piece is specifically my love letter to the Alan Moore era of Swamp Thing.
Those books are some of the strangest, moodiest and most psychedelic comics I’ve ever read, and they’re what made me genuinely fall in love with the character.
I wanted the sculpture to feel like it could have stepped out of one of those pages. I obsessed over everything from the shape of his face and that unmistakable nose down to microscopic flowers and vegetation that most people will probably never notice.
But I know they’re there.
