AI is the tool. Creative direction is the craft.

Eighteen years of art direction, branding and design. The tools got a great deal stranger. The job did not.

01 · Why this page exists

I already knew how to make things. AI changed what became possible.

I am an Art Director. I have spent eighteen years in branding, advertising, illustration and design, nearly all of it before any of this existed. Generative tools did not teach me composition, casting, color, pacing, or how to tell when an idea is actually finished. They handed me a much larger room to work in.

So this is not a page about AI. It is a page about what happens when somebody who already had a point of view gets a new set of instruments. Almost everything here started as something physical: a costume I built, a puppet I sewed, a 3D print, a photograph, real footage shot on a real day. The machine is the last step, not the first.

Some of it is polished. Some of it is genuinely strange. None of it was made by typing one sentence and accepting the first result.

Tools can automate execution, but they can’t replace perspective and taste.

04 · Toolkit

The tools change every week. The eye behind them doesn’t.

ChatGPT Claude Midjourney Higgsfield Runway Veo Kling Creative coding Whatever replaces them

I am tool agnostic on purpose. I move between platforms depending on which one produces the better result that month, and half of this list will be replaced by something else before long. That is the point, not a problem.

05 · Three ways to work together
01

Done For You

I handle the creative direction and the production.

You bring the problem or the idea. I work out which tools actually suit it, then direct and produce the thing. You are hiring judgement and a finished result, not a subscription to whichever platform is having a moment.

02

Done With You

Consulting, working alongside your team.

For companies, creative teams and individuals who want AI inside what they already do but do not know where it fits. Usually the most valuable part of this is deciding where it does not belong, which is a conversation most people are not having.

03

Teach You

Training, so you stop needing me.

Rather than hiring me to keep making things, learn to make them. You do not need to become an AI expert. You need to know which tools matter for what you are trying to accomplish, and how to tell a good result from a convincing one.

Have something strange in mind? Let’s see if we can make it.

Or something completely ordinary that needs to look like nobody else’s. That works too.

01 · Done for you Hire me to make it Bring the problem. I will work out the approach and direct the result. 02 · Done with you Build a workflow together Fit these tools into what your team already does, without wrecking what works. 03 · Teach you Learn to do it yourself Sessions and workshops, so the capability stays in the building after I leave.
